My seventh 6ft Square Sketchbook in collaboration with artist Simone Chester at our studio space in Birmingham. Our focus for the day was sunflowers and seed pods, which we decided to create on brown paper.
I like to use a range of mixed media when creating these large sketchbook ideas including tester pot paints, acrylic paint, white chalk and pastels and creating texture with a palette knife.
It's easy to become lost in the physicality of painting and creating, particularly in the flow and movement around each other as we work in different styles and colours.
